We kicked off the Roadshow on March 6th in Chicago and proceeded to travel to Madison, Milwaukee, Detroit, & Grand Rapids.
Each location featured product demos, training workshops, and classes worth CTS credit renewals. With us were representatives directly from the manufacturer to show the newest and most noteworthy products, teach classes, and answer any and all questions.
And to bring in all the gear, we packed a 53ft semi-truck to the brim!

Shure released this live demo recording of all you need to know about the MXA920! Recorded at the Shure Customer Experience Center, it includes live interactive demos requested from the audience. Take some time to check it out as soon as you can!

We were joined by Allen & Heath, dB Technologies, and EAW on the nation’s largest Irish Fest! We gave demos of the products from our brand partners, and powered many of the stages! Some quick stats about the event: 4 show days, 16 stages, 22 desks, 2 full speaker rigs, 235 performances, 149 miles walked, 113 guests from 22 companies, and “some” whiskey. At this event, we spent the day with Salamander Designs and met with manufacturers and suppliers to give them hands on experience with their products. We had tons of productive convos with AV professionals about their projects and wowed attendees with the new Cabinet Designer software!
ChamSys hosted a 2 day MagicQ training in Chicago! During the training, participants learned a wide variety of skills for operating these consoles including editing, using dimmers, programming, patching, file management, and more! Head here to check out the full line of MagicQ consoles.
Tascam just released Portacapture X8 firmware update V1.30! This update includes the support of 32bit float USB transmission as an audio interface, storage of user settings on app and input presets (up to three for each), and the ability to save your own presets for onboard apps and input settings, plus USB mix-minus on PODCAST app. Download the update here.
Allen & Heath released two new maintenance firmware updates! The updates include dLive V1.94 (download here) and Avantis V1.21 (download here).
The 3i-2421-IMAC is for the new Apple iMac, and the 3i1813-7-RP2 is a product specific case for the new Rode PROCaster II. These cases are part of SKBs iSeries Injection Molded Mil-Standard Waterproof Cases. These cases are in stock now!

Safe to say for a lot of us, July was a busy month! Tons of our brand partners released new products and software updates, and we stayed busy crafting new videos and demoing gear. Here’s a look at all the Audio Biz happenings from July, and what we are looking forward to in August (you might be surprised to find it’s not the late summer humidity).
This update began it’s rollout on July 26th, and will be widely available in the coming weeks. The update includes improved microphone performance for a better far-end experience, updated branding, faster boot up time and more. Read more about it here.
Shure also announced that Stem Ecosystem now has Barco ClickShare certification which eliminates the need for you to rewire the entire conferencing system every time a new user needs to use the conference room, giving any meeting space the flexibility to let a presenter BYOD for video conferencing and content sharing. Gearing up for the show, we had the awesome chance to talk with the engineers from Portugal the Man and Milky Chance. They ran these consoles for their show on the Miller Lite Stage at the festival.

On Friday, LEA announced that once all proper paperwork is completed, the Connect Series amplifiers will officially be EN54-16 certified! The LEA Professional Connect Series EN54-16 voice alarm compliant amplifiers include 352, 354, 702, 704 Network models as well as the 352D, 354D, 702D, and 704D Dante models.
The new DL-N5USB-PHUB from Liberty AV Solutions is a networked USB 3.0 hub with control and client switching capability. We kicked off the first week of June by leaving the humidity of the Midwest and landed ourselves in sunny California! Our first stops included factory tours with SKB and Hosa, as well as meetings with many of our brand partners where our very own Redbeard was awarded with the A&H Bulldog and the dB Technologies Top Gun Maverick Awards. A big and well deserved “Congrats” went out to him for his extensive knowledge and hard work this year!
Once The NAMM Show was in full swing that Friday, we spent our time demoing this year’s hottest new gear, networking with our customers, and giving tours of our brand partners’ booths.
By the time Sunday rolled around, we packed up our bags again and hopped on a flight to the beautiful (and scorching hot!) Las Vegas where we attended trainings at Chauvet’s Experience Center and had meetings with some more partners including LEA, Salamander Designs, and Listen Technologies. Once the trade show floor opened in the Las Vegas Convention Center, we were back at it networking, giving tours, and demoing gear (one of us clocked over 50 miles of walking over the two tradeshow runs!).
To say we had an absolute blast on and off the tradeshow floor would be an understatement, and we can’t wait until both of these shows kick off next year again.
